Arguably one of the greatest champions in the history of professional wrestling, Lou Thesz was a trained shoot wrestler, prepared to handle any situation.
Standing 6’2, 225 lbs., Lou Thesz became the youngest world champion, defeating Everett Marshall to capture the American Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Championships in December, 1937.
Best known for his National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) World Championship unification title run, Thesz is credited by many as being the last undisputed World Champion of the twentieth century
Following an astonishing 58 year career, Thesz’s final contribution to professional wrestling was as the president of the Cauliflower Alley Club, an organization for retired professional wrestlers, from 1992 - 2000.
